Industry Bodies

There are many associations out there dedicated to helping and monitoring the production of acceptable radio broadcasting and aiding people in the industry. Here is a short list of some of the available organisations:



Southern Community Media Association  
= S.C.M.A
An organisation dedicated to helping local and community radio stations.




National association of broadcasters 
N.A.B                   
With more than 14,000 radio stations across the country, NAB understands the importance radio broadcasters play in their local communities and supports their businesses by providing numerous benefits, including professional development opportunities, networking and business development events and cost-saving programs for stations.





Australia Subscription Television and Radio association   
=   ASTRA
Media Access Australia is Australia’s only independent not-for-profit organisation devoted to increasing access to media for people with disabilities.





Christian Media Australia 
 =  C.M.A

Formed in 1978, Christian Media Australia is the peak industry body representing Christian Media communicators in Australia. Members include Christian Community Radio stations, radio and TV program producers, record companies, churches and media organisations and professional industry bodies.








The Alliance for Women in Media  
 =  A.W.M

The Alliance for Women in Media harnesses the promise, passion and power of women in all forms of media to empower career development, engage in thought leadership, and drive positive change for our industry and societal progress. 








Radio Television Digital News Association 
 =  R.T.N.D.A
This organisation is dedicated to providing up to date information on current and professional issues and advancements




Commercial Radio Australia 
= C.R.A
C.R.A is an association that is involved in everything radio related from awards to statistics




Australian film Television and radio school   
= A.F.T.R.S
A.F.T.R.S is the Australia's national screen arts and broadcast School. AFTRS is an Australian
Commonwealth Government statutory authority and was
founded in 1973 as part of a Government strategy to revive the Australian film industry.
The School enjoys strong political, industry and public support.






There are so many more organisations and associations out there dedicated to ensuring the public has access to information surrounding the film and radio industry.
