"The radio craze will die out in
time."
In the 1920s no one expected radio to last-go figure?
Some more quotes about the past, present and future of radio can be found at nsba.
Technology has been changing for our whole existence, from the wheel to spaceflight and it doesn't look like slowing down anytime soon. Although emerging technology has hindered the progress of traditional AM and FM Radio in recent years new digital technology ensures that it will continue to thrive.

Radio has and will change and continue to evolve all the time.
Automation, software advances, Internet streaming, phone apps, MP3 players, ipods and satellite means you can listen to your favourite songs at any and all times.
But how does this effect the industry directly?
Advances in technology mean:
- re-training
- regulations and rules adaptions
- oh&s changes
- change in programming styles
- new line streaming set ups for applications and new tech i.e, phones, tablets, laptops
Technology has also made it possible to access bette,r clearer and more variety of sound effects and music.
Have you ever thought
I am sure you have all noticed that radio stations "Flog a song to absolute death" this is because people have become less attentive to there surroundings. This means they are less inclined to stay tuned to what is on a radio station, especially if the song that is playing is unfamiliar or the conversation that is taking place does not interest them.
The sound of a familiar song grabs the audiences attention and marketers know this. Hell! That is why they get paid!
We have the means to hear what we want when we want so why listen to radio at all?
Some people like the convenience, some like the surprise, some listen for the conversations, competitions but the majority listen to be ENTERTAINED so my tip to you is, always keep them guessing.
